so, everything here is so basic ans opinion based, but lets ig in to politics and reasoning shall we? One rule before you start there's going to be a lot of opinions here, and analysis, debate is good, but when we start to insult one another it is no longer political talk! Lets keep out of that, okay? with that being cleared up here are some questions answer them and think.

1. who are you voting for this year?
2. why are you voting for this candidate?
3. So, what are the political ideas you like about this candidate and what are some of the reasons that make you vote for him? If none, what is your vote based on and why?
4. what do you not like about the opponent? why do you dislike this candidate and think he's unsuited for office.
5. Do you like the vice president on the ticket with this main candidate? what are your thoughts on some of his ideas and the pairing of the two?
6. are there anything at all about the candidate you're willing to vote in to office you dislike and what is it? why do you dislike these things?
7. Be realistic about this and I am talking about people who knows politics and can actually do well, if you alone was to decide for the next four years one person to be our president in the united states, who will it be?
8. what makes this the president the best one, if he actually gets in? why are you for him, what will he contribute and what leadership skills will he bring to the table that no one has ever brought before?
9. what is your political ideology, what do you believe a government would look like if you had the choice to manipulate it?
10. forget your biases, for this question, doesn't matter who you are voting for. so who's more likely to win this election romney ryan, or obama biden? why? and don't just pick your favorites guess at the odds, that's the design of this question.

All great questions. It'll take me some time to come up with something coherent but I'll post after organizing my thoughts. Can't wait to see what others have to say.

Ok, here goes. Let the crap storm begin. lol I'm putting this in 2 posts because of its length.

1. who are you voting for this year?
I am voting for Romney/Ryan.

2. why are you voting for this candidate?
While Romney wasn't my first choice for republican candidate, he has my vote for several reasons. I don't think he's conservative enough to quote unquote fix our nations financial problems. Having said that, perhaps having someone conservative enough to do that would be too drastic of a switch at this point. However, I do believe that he will make changes that will improve things. More than anything, I'm voting against Obama. I don't know that Romney is the answer but in my opinion, President Obama's policies aren't the answer either. I like how Romney was able to work with a democratic legislature in Mass. I like his business experience. Also, he doesn't seem angry or condescending in his speaches. I like how he doesn't appologize for American values. He seems like an honest man.

3. So, what are the political ideas you like about this candidate?
I like the idea of returning more power to the states and shrinking the size of the federal government. I also like the idea of keeping our military strong. I don't think we need to continue fighting wars over seas where we aren't wanted but I do believe that we need to have a strong military.

4. what do you not like about the opponent? why do you dislike this candidate and think he's unsuited for office.
Oh boy. My dislike for President Obama is so strong and multifascited. I will try to be respectful however. Let me first make absolutely clear, because I'm so unbelievably sick of this argument. I could not care less if Obama is black, white, or purple with green spots. I truly don't care and I think that's a laim reason for people to say that he is unliked. It's his policies and character with which I find fault, not his skin color.
Ok, now that that's out of the way we can move on. I do not like the fact that he has refused to release so much information that other political figures have released, i.e. medical records, college transcripts, etc. I don't really care about his medical records all that much but he should release his college transcripts. Why has he spent so much money trying to keep them sealed? What's he hiding? I believe he is dishonest at his very core, doing or saying whatever it takes to get what he wants. In addition to just observing him, this is also based on book and articles I've read. A book called the Amature spells allot of this out.
I dislike his view that big government is the answer for everything. Quite frankly, our country is broke. A debt crisis is coming. No, this wasn't all President Obama's fault but his policies and initiatives will grow the debt even more.
Our country is more divided than I can ever remember it being. Granted, I didn't live through the 60's and other times when there was strife in America but the class warfare has got to stop. When he speaks, President Obama often has such an angry tone, like a parent wagging his finger at a naughty child. He comes off as disrespectful to those who disagree with him. I don't like that. President Obama has been influenced from early childhood by people whose views are contrary to everything America stands for. I do not believe he has America's best interest at heart.
I do not like Obamacare. Contrary to what he promised, our family's insurance premiums have gone up 23 percent over the past 2 years. Many people I know are losing the insurance they had because their employers would rather just pay the fine than continue to carry insurance. Medicare advantage plans are going away as well. That doesn't affect me but it does affect my grandparents.
I do not trust President Obama when it comes to matters of national seccurity. For example, when he was at a summet with foreign leaders, he was accidentally caught on an open microphone telling the president of Russia something to the effect of, "Wait until after the next ellection. Then I'll have more flexibility." What's that all about? Perhaps nothing but perhaps not. The way the whole thing in Libia has been handled is a disgrace. It would appear that the president has surrounded himself with people who are incompetant and/or dishonest, from the attorney General, on down. His press secretaries have been an embarrassment.
I don't like how he has been so busy trying to live the life of a rockstar that he has missed many seccurity and intellegence meetings.
He and his wife seem to have a "let them eat cake" mentality.
I could go on and on but I'll move along.

Continued in next post.

5. Do you like the vice president on the ticket with this main candidate? what are your thoughts on some of his ideas and the pairing of the two?
I'm not sure which VP nominee you're refering to so I'll just talk about both.
I really like Ryan's demeaner. He comes across as a thoughtful respectful man. He seems to truly love America and believe in her people. He doesn't alienate people but rather speaks with an optimistic encouraging tone. He's someone to whom I can relate on a personal level. He has young children, comes from a working class family, etc.
Even though his budget plan may not be perfect, at least he's put something out there that has some new ideas.
As for VP Biden, honestly, I didn't have much of an opinion about the man until the other night's debate. He came across as a complete ass. Sorry, that's disrespectful but honestly, he earned absolutely zero respect from me. His laughing and constant interupting gave himm the appearance of a school yard bully or of someone who was completely tuned out as to the seriousness of the issues our nation is facing. He does not have the diplomatic skills to act appropriately in international matters or national matters. Quite frankly, he showed himself to be uncompromising and unwilling to even listen to what his opponent had to say. Those are not good characteristics that make good leaders.

6. are there anything at all about the candidate you're willing to vote in to office you dislike and what is it? why do you dislike these things?
I dislike the strong stance Romney and Ryan have taken on abortion. While it isn't something I personally support, it isn't the government's place to get involved. Having said that, I do not believe tax dollars should pay for abortions. I also do not believe that organizations should be required to pay for insurance that provides funding for abortions. I believe they should be legal, except for late term, but those who want them should pay for them. I believe it should be a state level decision for the voters of each state, not the federal government.

7. Be realistic about this and I am talking about people who knows politics and can actually do well, if you alone was to decide for the next four years one person to be our president in the united states, who will it be?
I'm going to be completely honest here and say I have no clue about a specific person.
8. what makes this the president the best one, if he actually gets in? why are you for him, what will he contribute and what leadership skills will he bring to the table that no one has ever brought before?
I'm assuming this is a follow-up to the last question. Since I don't have anyone specific in mind, here are my general thoughts.
I would like to see a president with some class. Bring back the statesman like men. I would prefer a president who has served in the military. I would like a president who has a clue about managing money. I would like a president who doesn't want to have government in every aspect of people's lives. I would like a president who has respect for me, and all citizens for that matter, as a constituant no matter if we're from the same party or not. Most importantly, I would like a president I felt like I could trust.

9. what is your political ideology, what do you believe a government would look like if you had the choice to manipulate it?
People much smarter than I have tried to answer this question and in all the years of the world haven't gotten it right yet. I would like a government that takes a less active role in our lives, one whose leaders truly care about the people whom they represent without all the corruption we have now in all fascets and at all levels. I guess I'd rather see the government more styled like the original constitutional government of the USA. I'm sure it had its flaws because anything run by humans does. I'd sure like to go back to those days though, as far as government goes.

10. forget your biases, for this question, doesn't matter who you are voting for. so who's more likely to win this election romney ryan, or obama biden? why? and don't just pick your favorites guess at the odds, that's the design of this question.
I honestly have no clue. Of course I hope Romney and Ryan win. Having said that though, I truly also believe that Obama and the DNC will do anything and everything to remain in power even if it means breaking the law.

As you know, I'm not even voting in this Election but as an outsider looking at how the American Election system is going, I can say it's much easier and fairer than the Australian Election. In America, you either have 1 term, or 2.

If I were to vote though, Romney would get my vote for having been able to listen to the debate a few weeks ago, He does have some ideas which will help America down the track, as with Obarma basicially he was Elected mainly because of the fact he was the first ever Black person to be President and I don't want to be rude, but when he first started it was like Justin Bieber, you're famous one year, then the next you're broght down like a Football being Champions one year, to be at the bottom the next.

As for who'd make a good President of America, I always thought Al Gore would make a good President.
He has some great knowledge of Environment, and he was Vice President.

Steven Hocking would also make a good President although that won't happen but being the world's smartest man, he'd be a good one.

I could do Steven Hawking for President. Or Carl Saigan
